Caleb R. Troxclair
Principal
Caleb R. Troxclair is an attorney with expertise in business, energy, technology, regulatory, and legislative law and policy. As the principal of Troxclair PC, he has led the firm to become a recognized leader in the areas of law and government affairs in Texas. After serving in prominent and diverse roles in state government over a decade and a half, he put this experience to work building a record of success and a reputation for excellence at Troxclair PC.
Prior to founding Troxclair PC, Caleb served as Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, Texas’ energy regulatory body. In this role Caleb advised the Chairman on complex legal and policy issues impacting Texas’ energy sector, as well as assisted in running the nearly 800-person agency.
Before joining the Railroad Commission, Caleb was Chief of Staff to a Texas state representative, where he helped to pass and implement many bills into law, negotiating conflicting interests to successful resolutions and helping to shape the futures of critical industries. In addition to his role as Chief of Staff, Caleb also served as Committee Clerk to the Texas House Committee on Regulated Industries, with jurisdiction over telecommunications and electricity legislation, gaining unmatched knowledge of these dynamic policy areas.
Caleb completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at Texas A&M University -Kingsville and received his JD from the University of Texas School of Law. He and his wife, Ellen, reside in Austin with their three children.
